CHANGING THE WORLD ONE CHILD AT A TIME!
Motherly Love Children’s Ministry founded in 2014 in response to the plight of orphans, neglected and street children. Homeless children lack the access to basic living conditions, safety, education and affectionate guidance.
Unprotected, these children are vulnerable to mental, trauma, addiction, sexual diseases and HIV infection. Within homeless population, homeless boys and girls, especially girls are most at risk of trauma and sexual exploitation, potentially leading to pregnancies producing new generations of street people. Therefore, homeless children deserve our attention. In Kenya, the size, nature and capacity of support services to prevent school dropout children, street children are major challenges.
Motherly Love children’s Ministry was an outcome of our sincere desire for helping the children in different circumstances. The main purpose is to meet the needs and cater for the grievances of children in order to achieve their dreams.
This project is under the initiation of Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey Nyakundi. Who have actively participated in the affairs of children both in church and outside church in different capacities? In that regard, Mrs. Geoffrey Nyakundi has been a volunteer in the children’s department for a period of seven years of which she fought hard for the children rights and welfare. She cares and has passion of helping children at different levels. This is where the passion to fight for children rights especially the right to education, clothing and shelter come from.
