We RESCUE street children below 16 years old from a street life of addiction, abuse, and hopelessness by inviting them to stay at our center.
We REINTEGRATE the children back into their families and communities. Through ongoing follow-ups, we empower them with the physical, spiritual and emotional tools they need to ensure long term success.
We REHABILITATE them through a variety of programs including: counselling, Bible lessons, remedial academic work, sports, crafts and introduction to useful life/vocational skills. Their basic needs of food, shelter, clothes, medical care and hygiene are met at the center.
We share the good news of the Gospel through which God can REDEEM and give freedom, healing, and restoration. We pray for each child to experience the love of God through the impact of our ministry.
Every boy at embrace began their journey to reintegration in the streets of Nairobi. When housing space opens up at our center, our social workers will go into the streets and find boys who are willing to come to Embrace, go through rehabilitation, and eventually return home.
Once at the center, boys and girls are cleaned up, given a fresh set of clothing, and all drugs are disposed off. They begin attending personal counselling sessions and academic classes, participate in chores, games, and activities, and have The Gospel preached to them.
Once the children undergoes successful rehabilation and counsewlling they are now given a comfortable stay at our home. They will be allocated a bed with matress, blankets and all others needs that a child need to be comfortable.
School is very important, and takes up a large portion of the life of a young Kenyan boy. In some cases, school is the reason a boy ran away in the first place. Just like the home visit, social workers will ensure that boys are treated fairly and any prior issues are resolved.
Kenyan schools have many requirements, and often a boy and his family will not have access to everything that is required.
