Four steps, one journey
Each street-connected child moves through the same care, at their own pace.
We rescue
Our outreach teams go where children sleep and hide: markets, bus stops, drainage channels and the edges of town. We approach each street-connected child patiently and build trust first, because a hurt child needs to feel safe before they can accept help.
When a child is in immediate danger, we arrange safe removal and emergency shelter the same day. Every rescue is recorded carefully, so each street-connected child's history and needs follow them through every stage of their care.
We nurture
Hunger, cold and illness are the first enemies of a street-connected child's health. From the first day we provide nourishing meals, clean clothing, a warm bed and basic medical care, so the body can begin to heal.
Our caregivers build routines that bring stability back into a child's life: regular meals, rest, hygiene and a daily rhythm. Street-connected children learn that the adults around them can be trusted, often for the first time.
We rehabilitate
Many street-connected children carry wounds no one can see. Through individual and group counselling, trained staff help them talk about what they have lived through, at their own pace.
Mentorship, life-skills sessions and, where it is safe, reunion with relatives help each child rebuild confidence, self-worth and a sense of belonging.
We educate
Education is the doorway out of poverty. We enrol street-connected children in school, support their learning every day and help them catch up on the years they missed.
For young people ready to work, we open pathways to vocational training, so each child can build a livelihood of their own.
